Vishal-announces-panel-look-me-too-allegations
"Nearly a week after the MeToo movement hit the Tamil film industry, President of the Nadigar Sangam and the Tamil Film Producers Council, Vishal has announced to set up a three-member probe committee to look into these allegations.
This is how you take a stand. A strong stand. No victim-shaming. No body-shaming. No abusive or vulgar language against those who support the victim(s). Learn from them.
Even the media professionals need to learn to be professional in asking questions in a press meet. In yesterday's press meet by Women in Cinema Collective just because the people on the dias are women and just because they raised complaints against your super stars doesn't mean that you have the right to insult them. Just like the nun rape case, they had to do this after knocking at many many doors which never opened.
Didn't you hear them talking based on facts? Didn't you see how elegantly they spoke? Didn't you see how decently they handled those non sensical questions by some of the dirty journalists out there? Do you remember the Annual General body Meeting by A.M.M.A some time back where in your so called Stars of the industry remained silent and the supporters howled at the press? Do you see the difference?
Learn.Learn to speak up. Learn to respond. Learn to defend professionally. Learn to throw away the culprits. Learn to support the victims. Grow up.

"Nearly a week after the MeToo movement hit the Tamil film industry, President of the Nadigar Sangam and the Tamil Film Producers Council, Vishal has announced to set up a three-member probe committee to look into these allegations.
Speaking at the press meet of his upcoming film on Saturday, he said, “We are forming a three-member committee for all bodies i.e. Nadigar Sangam, FEFSI, TFPC, and Film Chamber. It is a platform to make sure women are safe and to ensure unity in the industry. At the same time, it will also be a platform to show that we are there for the women actors, from junior artistes to senior artistes.”
